Roseburg Police jailed a man after a warrant arrest on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 2:50 p.m. an employee of a motel in the 2700 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard said that two people were sleeping behind the business. Officers contacted the 38-year-old and a woman at the location. While the officer was checking the subjects for wants and warrants, the man allegedly ran from the officer.

Dispatch advised that he had active warrants for his arrest. Officers searched the area and located the man hiding nearby. He was taken into custody without incident. The man was detained on $5,000 bail.
