EXTENSION WITH WORKSHOP FOR VETERANS TO LEARN HOW TO KEEP BEES

The Oregon State University Extension Service welcomes military veterans to attend the Bee Basic series starting this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The hands-on beekeeping experience is designed exclusively for military veterans. This introductory class will walk participants through the essentials of starting their own hive, from setup and gear to hive inspections and maintenance.

Attendees will learn:

*How to set up and manage a beehive

*Essential beekeeping tools and protective gear

*Techniques for inspecting and maintaining health hives

No experience is needed – just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
