Roseburg Police jailed a woman on the charge of assault in the fourth degree on Saturday night.
An RPD report said just after 10:30 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Northeast West Avenue after medical personnel responded to a call indicating that a man had fallen and had hit his face on a bathtub inside of the home. Medical personnel believed the injury was the result of a disturbance between another person at the residence and the victim and requested law enforcement.
Officers observed the victim’s left eye was black and blue and swollen to the point of almost being closed. After an investigation, officers learned the 32-year-old suspect had allegedly punched the victim in the face multiple times.
The woman was detained on $6,250 bail and was released on Sunday.
