Roseburg Police jailed a man for a felony charge of strangulation and for fourth-degree assault on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. 38-year-old Riley Davis allegedly choked a female during an argument in the 3100 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Davis also reportedly slammed the victim’s foot between a door-frame multiple times, causing serious injury to her foot. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections.

Davis was detained without bail.
