June 13, 2025 3:40 a.m.

It’s the second week of Movies in the Park on Friday evening.

Presented by Roseburg Parks and Recreation and Rogue Credit Union, more family-friendly entertainment will take place at the Nichols Band Shell in Stewart Park starting at 7:30 p.m.

Staff with the Douglas Forest Protective Association will be joined by Smokey Bear. They will read the story of Smokey and let kids see their fire engine. Friends of the UV Police K9 Programs will be next with two Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K9 teams. They’ll share information about the K9s and let kids meet the dogs and check out their vehicles.

Around 9:00 p.m. at dusk, the PG-rated movie “Dog Man” will be shown on the big screen overlooking the South Umpqua River.

Snacks, including popcorn and cotton candy will be available to purchase. Guests can bring their own food and drinks, but alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tobacco use is not allowed in the City of Roseburg park’s system.
