ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOR CAMPING/TRASH

Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping and depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:50 p.m. the 42-year-old was contacted in his camp, which was set up about 10 feet from the edge of the South Umpqua River. The man’s camp was also outside the manner portion of the city ordinance because his tent exceeded the 10 -foot by 10-foot measurement. He also had numerous things outside of the tent. That included a pile of trash which consisted of food wrappers and beverage containers.

The man was cited and released on the scene.
