ROSEBURG AREA MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED HARASSMENT INCIDENT

A Roseburg area man was jailed for an alleged harassment incident on Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:35 p.m. deputies responded after a caller said there was a physical disturbance in the 600 block of Plateau Drive, north of Roseburg. The physical evidence aligned with the victim’s story and the 41-year-old suspect was taken into custody.

Prior to being detained, the man admitted to having less than two grams of suspected methamphetamine in his sock. It was later tested and determined to be positive for the drug. The man was charged with harassment and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was detained without bail.,
