June 6, 2025 9:30 a.m.

A Coos Bay man was injured in a single vehicle overnight accident early Thursday.

An Oregon State Police report said just before 2:00 a.m. a trooper responded to the rollover crash on Highway 38 near Scottsburg. A westbound SUV had left the lane of travel for an unknown reason. The vehicle traveled up the westbound embankment and rolled onto its side, blocking the westbound lane.

The 82-year-old driver suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport for treatment. A towing company responded to recover the SUV.
