Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 12:40 p.m. a 23-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were bedded down in a small tent about ten feet from the edge of the South Umpqua River around the bike jumps in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street.

Camping is always prohibited in this area due to its proximity to the water. Both people were cited and released on the scene. They began packing up their camp after the citations were issued.
