ROSEBURG POLICE CITE WOMAN WHO THREW TRASH OUT OF A DUMPSTER

Roseburg Police cited a woman for offensive littering on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. the 40-year-old thought there was someone buried in the bottom of an overflowing dumpster in the parking lot of Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. To free the fictitious person, the woman threw all of the trash out of the dumpster and onto the ground.

By the time an officer arrived, he was able to see the bottom of the dumpster and confirmed that there was no one inside. The woman swore there was a person in the dumpster, and she was actively having a conversation with them.

The woman was released after placing all the trash back inside the dumpster.
