Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a reported harassment incident on Sunday.

An SPD report said shortly after 5:00 p.m. the 44-year-old and a victim had been drinking and were intoxicated in the 500 block of South State Street. The man allegedly pulled the victim’s hair and struck her in the face several times with his open hand. The victim then reportedly bit the man’s thumb and struck him in the face several times.

The victim had bruising on her left wrist from an alleged altercation with the same man, a week early. He had a bite mark on his left forearm that had been allegedly inflicted by the woman from that same event.

The man was charged with harassment and was detained without bail.
