Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident on Sunday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. officers were flagged down and informed that a man had just stolen merchandise from a store in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The 35-year-old was contacted in the store’s parking lot and the stolen items were recovered.

He was charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,250.
