Roseburg Police cited a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants/controlled substance on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said at 10:10 p.m. officers contacted the 47-year-old in the parking lot of a business in the 2200 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after he appeared to have overdosed.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the man had crashed his large SUV into the building. He was reportedly found slumped over in the driver’s seat and was unresponsive after the wreck. Ultimately, the man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center and refused to provide a blood sample but admitted to using fentanyl. A warrant was obtained, along with a sample of the man’s blood.

The man was later released from corrections.
