One person was jailed, and one was cited for a north county incident on Tuesday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly after 8:35 p.m. dispatchers received a call from someone who lives near the 12500 block of Elkhead Road in the Oakland area. She reported that a juvenile had run to her house and asked her to call 911 and report a physical disturbance.
A deputy contacted a 37-year-old woman who said that she and a 39-year-old man had gotten into a physical fight, so she told the man that she was calling 911. The suspect allegedly disconnected the internet, so she was not able to do so. The woman asked the juvenile to run to a neighbor and call for help.
The man was interviewed and admitted to disconnecting the internet. Both adults admitted to physically fighting and both wanted to pursue charges. The man was charged with interfering with making a police report and for harassment. He was released Wednesday morning. The woman was cited for harassment and then was released.
