Saving Grace Humane Society will host the fourth annual Barks & Recreation event this Saturday.
The event will take place in Roseburg’s Stewart Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A release said it is designed to celebrate the human-canine family bond with fun dog-related activities and to raise funds for Saving Grace programs. The event is free to attend and well-behaved dogs on leash are very welcome.
Executive Director Jennifer Barta said, “Saving Grace is extremely excited to be able to host our annual Barks and Recreation again!”. Barta said, “This is a fun, family-friendly event for all dog lovers. Dogs not only bring tremendous joy to their humans, but a sense of purpose, and well-being. We will have a variety of activities for the dogs and their human best friends”. Barta said the event is also a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the programs Saving Grace offers to people and pets in Douglas County.
Sponsored by First Community Credit Union and other local supportive businesses, the event will include over 30 pet friendly vendors, dog activities, a wine and beer garden, kid’s activities, reduced-cost vaccinations and microchips for dogs, and food carts. Saving Grace will also bring dogs that are available for adoption.
