Ballots are beginning to come in for the Douglas County May Special Districts Election.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said there are a number of things that voters should remember:
*Ballots must be cast no later than 8:00 pm. on May 20th
*Voters can use either the United States Postal Service or any official ballot drop site in Oregon to cast their ballot
*Douglas County voters have eight drive-up locations to drop off their ballots
*Before turning in a ballot, review and complete both sides of the ballot
Loomis said 0.14 percent, or 120 ballots have been received as of late Monday. That lags 0.28 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2023 Douglas County May Special Districts Election.
The number of county voters has increased 1.24 percent or 1,096 voters since the previous special districts’ election 2 years ago.
