CANYONVILLE WOMAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT/WEAPON INCIDENT

A Canyonville woman was jailed for an alleged assault and weapon incident on Friday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:55 p.m. the 27-year-old and a victim were allegedly involved in a disturbance in the 400 block of South Main Street in the Canyonville area. The suspect was reportedly uncooperative when questioned by a deputy and had blood on her hands. She was uninjured. Evidence at the scene supported the other party’s version of the events that had taken place.

The woman was charged with second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. She was detained without bail.
