April 24, 2025 4;00 a.m.

The Umpqua Valley will see a short-term shift to wet conditions late Thursday, continuing through Saturday night or perhaps early on Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a chance of showers and thunderstorms are expected for Thursday night. Friday should have more showers, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Rain continues Saturday but should start to diminish by the evening. A few showers may linger into early Sunday, but then it’s several days with a generally dry weather pattern and highs back into the 70s.
