A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged DUII driving incident on Sunday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 12:40 p.m. a witness called in a disturbance near the intersection of Old Highway 99 South and Rolling Hills Road in the Green District. A caller said an SUV was eastbound on Highway 99, headed towards Interstate 5 and was being driven very erratically.
A deputy saw the vehicle turn quickly onto Chandler Drive then dart into a driveway. The deputy contacted the driver, 48-year-old Michael Perriguey who showed signs of impairment and said that he wanted a lawyer.
Perriguey was taken into custody and transported to corrections for the intoxilyzer. He reportedly refused a breath test, so the deputy applied for and was granted a search warrant. Perriguey agreed to a breath sample which showed a blood alcohol content level of .014.
The man was charged with DUII-alcohol, reckless driving and reckless endangering. He was cited for refusing a breath test. Perriguey was detained without bail.
