In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Lenten Meditations in Music continues at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Roseburg on Friday.

For over 50 years, the series has been presented to offer a time for gathering and prayerful contemplation during Lent.

Ahead of Palm Sunday this weekend, the Evensong Handbell Choir, directed by Elizabeth Lonergan, and the Celestial Tollers Handbell Choir, directed by Pat Mehlhoff, will offer music in the church’s sanctuary from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

The series will wrap up next week on Good Friday.
