A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening for mountain areas in parts of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy snow is possible. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 20 inches are forecast. This will come in as two systems with the potential for a break between them on Thursday evening.
The Watch area is for elevations of 4,500 feet and above in the southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains. Forecasters said travel could be very difficult during the winter event.
