UC VEG HAS FOOD AS MEDICINE COURSE STARTING APRIL 8TH

March 14, 2025 3:05 a.m.

The Umpqua Community Veg Education Group has a lifestyle and nutrition course called Food as Medicine Oregon, beginning soon.

The series provides educational opportunities for people to learn more about the powerful impacts that food has on overall health. Often referred to as lifestyle medicine, the intent is to better understand what evidence-based scientific research shows about how to use food as medicine, free of commercial interests or product marketing.

Led by a passionate network of local medical professions and health advocates, the Food as Medicine program provides a variety of opportunities to be educated on the world of whole food nutrition. This includes cooking classes and multi-week educational seminars.

The course begins on April 8th at Aviva Health on Kenneth Ford Drive, north of Roseburg. For more information on Food and Medicine Oregon, and on UC Veg, go to: Food as Medicine Oregon | Community-Based Lifestyle Education
