ROSEBURG POLICE JAILED A MAN FOR RESISTING ARREST AND A WARRANT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for resisting arrest and a warrant on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 7:20 a.m. officers contacted the 51-year-old after he was called in for yelling, screaming, and trespassing near the corner of West Harrison Street and West Harvard Avenue. Officers learned that the man had a warrant for his arrest. He reportedly resisted arrest when officers tried to take him into custody.

Officers tased the suspect and were able to take him into custody. He was cleared by medical staff at CHI Mercy Medical Center and was later transported to corrections. Bail was set at $6,250.
