Roseburg Police jailed a woman for alleged harassment, following an incident on Wednesday evening.

An RPD report said at 7:25 p.m. officers responded to the Post Office in the 500 block of Southeast Kane Street.

Adapt Mobile Crisis reported that a 53-year-old woman, who is blind, was walking in the middle of the street. When an officer tried to guide the woman out of the street, she allegedly tried to hit him with her red cane, before she reportedly punched him in the chest.

The woman was charged with harassment and was detained on $2,500 bail.
