Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman following an alleged hospital trespass incident.

A DCSO report said just after 9:30 p.m. a deputy responded to CHI Mercy Medical Center on Northwest Stewart Parkway as the Roseburg Police Department officers were tied up on several calls.

The 50-year-old was said to be uncooperative. She had been discharged twice from the hospital but was allegedly refusing to leave. The woman asked hospital staff to call for a taxi twice then refused to ride in the vehicle. The first time because the driver was a male and the second time because the driver was a female.

When the deputy arrived the woman was still refusing any options that were given her by the deputy and by Adapt. She made no attempt to leave the hospital.

The woman was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and was detained without bail.
