SAVING GRACE PET ADOPTION CENTER HAS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center has announced the addition of its new Executive Director, Jennifer Barta who began work on March 1st.

A release said Barta has over 23 years of experience in animal welfare and education, including 14 years of leadership at the Oregon Humane Society in Portland. Barta brings experience in many areas of animal welfare including strategic planning, customer service, admissions, volunteer and education management, operations, development, and emergency response.

Barta is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator, in addition to having certifications in Volunteer Administration and emergency animal sheltering. She previously served as the director of Learning & Development, and the Director of Volunteer Engagement & Crisis Response at the Oregon Humane Society.

Saving Grace Board President Rubea Barnett said, “We are very excited to add Jennifer’s leadership, animal welfare experience, and passion to our organization”. Barnett said, “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the staff, volunteers and pets of Saving Grace and the Douglas County community. Jennifer’s commitment to building and supporting a more humane community for all is a perfect match for Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center!”

Barta said, “I am thrilled to be here at Saving Grace with such incredible and passionate staff who care so deeply for the animals & community we serve”. Barta said, “With the help of our great supporters and hard-working staff * volunteers, I can’t wait to see the many ways we grow and save more lives together”.

Barta will be featured on Inside Douglas County on Friday April 5th, on News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN.
