Roseburg Parks and Recreation is inviting residents to enter its 2024 Arbor Day Photo Contest, which is just getting underway.
A City release said participants are asked to show how beautiful, awesome, or even funny trees can be – and possibly get their photo featured in the Spring 2024 City Connection e-newsletter. The deadline to enter is Friday, April 19th.
Roseburg Parks & Recreation Coordinator Tracey David said, “I’m excited to see which trees the community can capture through the lens.” David said, “Since Roseburg is a designated Tree City USA, there are many to choose from”.
The top three photos will be announced and showcased on Arbor Day, Friday April 26th – on the Roseburg Parks and Recreation Facebook page. The winning photos will also be highlighted in the City Connection e-newsletter later this spring.
Anyone is eligible to submit one photo taken in the Roseburg area. That includes Roseburg, Melrose, Green, Lookingglass, Garden Valley or Winchester. The photo should depict a tree or a grove of trees. The photo location should be included with the entry.
Photographers can use whatever camera they like but cannot use Adobe Photoshop or other editing software to alter the appearance or reality of the photo.
Only photos submitted through the online contest submission form will be considered. Emailed photos will not. The entry form is linked: https://www.cityofroseburg.org/departments/parks-and-recreation/2024-arbor-day-photo-contest
