Roseburg Police jailed a man for reported criminal mischief on Saturday evening.
An RPD report said just after 6:50 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after a 70-year-old was captured on video throwing a rock through the window of a business, causing over $1,000 in damage.
A short time later officers responded to a downtown location where it was reported that someone had thrown a rock through the front window of another business, causing $1,500 in damage. This was at the corner of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Oak Avenue.
Officers located the suspect nearby. He admitted to throwing a rock through both windows and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief. The man was detained without bail.
