Roseburg Police jailed a man for damage to Roseburg High School early Monday.
An RPD report said just after 2:10 a.m. officers responded to the 600 block of West Finlay Avenue after a caller said a man was hitting things near the high school softball field. Officers located significant damage to two buildings and to two transit vans.
The suspect, 32-year-old Anthony Byam, reportedly entered one of the buildings and fled off the roof before officers located him nearby and took him into custody. Byam was charged with second-degree burglary, four counts of first-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. He was detained without bail.
