Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault at the hospital on Thursday night.

An RPD report said just after 9:15 p.m. officers responded to CHI Mercy Medical Center on Northwest Stewart Parkway after a caller said that a man was attacking medical staff. During the incident, 30-year-old Jordan Vogel reportedly spat on and punched several staff members, one of whom suffered a severe headache. Vogel also allegedly damaged a rolldown door, valued at over $1,000. His parole officer requested that he be charged with a parole violation.

Vogel was also charged with fourth-degree assault, and first-degree criminal mischief, and harassment. He was detained without bail.
