LIBRARY OFFERS READ FOR BURGERS SPRING PROGRAM

March 19, 2024 3:25 a.m.

Roseburg Public Library is participating with In-N-Out Burger in their Cover to Cover Club reading program through Saturday April 13th.

A City release said local children ages 4 to 12 are invited to participate in the program. A Roseburg Public Library card is not required.

Parents and children may pick up a reading log at the library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

The log allows children or their parents to track their reading in one of two ways. Children or their parents may count the number of books or minutes they read, or that parents or caregivers read to children. When a child or their parent or caregiver reads five books or for five hours, the child is eligible for a gift card for a free hamburger or cheeseburger at In-N-Out. Gift cards can be used at any location. Children may continue to read and earn up to three free burgers for their efforts.

The library is also ramping up youth programming during spring break next week. A StoryWalk will be on display in Stewart Park near the YMCA on March 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Other events will take place next Tuesday through Thursday.
