A Tenmile man was jailed for an alleged menacing incident on Saturday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:40 p.m. deputies responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Highway 42 for a disturbance involving a hatchet. Ultimately deputies learned that there had been an argument over the phone, which led to a physical altercation between 40-year-old Michael Gould and a victim. During the incident the victim was reportedly punched in the face three times.
After this, Gould allegedly grabbed the hatchet and walked towards the victim stating that he was going to kill him, while holding the hatchet above his head. When deputies tried to take Gould into custody, he reportedly attempted to run inside his trailer and close the door. Gould was taken to the ground and detained.
He was charged with menacing, harassment, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and for a parole violation. Gould was detained without bail.
