WILDLIFE SAFARI ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF REPAIRS AFTER FLOOD DAMAGE

May 4, 2025 5:30 a.m.

Wildlife Safari has announced the completion of repairs and restoration that was needed following the severe flooding that impacted the park in March.

Marketing Coordinator Ali Shaver said thanks to the unwavering support of the community, the generosity of donors, and the rapid response of local contractors, all damaged roads and exhibits have been successfully restored.

Shaver said in March, unusually heavy flooding affected key areas of the park, including portions of its drive-thru roads, culverts and some animal exhibits. Despite the damage, Wildlife Safari had to only close for one day during the entire recovery process, ensuring minimal disruptions for its guests.

Shaver said today Wildlife Safari is fully operational, offering the same drive-thru and walk-thru experiences that visitors know and love. The park is currently open from 9:00 a.m. to 6;00 p.m. seven days a week.
