Roseburg had the warmest day of the year so far, on Friday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 71 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous highest temperature for 2024 was achieved on January 30th and 31st when the high was 69 degrees each day. That was due to several hours of Chinook winds that brought unseasonably warm air to the area.

Roseburg is forecast to reach 70 degrees Saturday and Sunday and warm to 75 degrees on Monday before dropping back to 71 degrees on Tuesday. Wednesday temperatures cool to the low 60s with a slight change of rain. By Thursday high temperatures will be down to the 50s with rain likely every day through the end of the month.
