A Riddle woman was taken to the hospital after a vehicle versus pedestrian accident Thursday afternoon.
A Roseburg Police report said at approximately 4:40 p.m. a man and a woman, both age 69, were stopping to go into a business in the 400 block of Southeast Jackson Street. His pickup had a tail hitch platform on the back, and the man asked the woman to spot him while he parked.
It appeared that the man hit the gas and not the brake, and the sedan pinned the woman between the hitch platform and another vehicle. She sustained injuries to her legs and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for her injuries. She is not currently listed as a patient, according to a hospital spokesperson.
The vehicle hit was pushed back into a third vehicle causing minor damage.
