ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL GLIDE MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED ELUDING INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a Glide man following an alleged eluding incident on Monday night.

An RPD report said shortly after 10:00 p.m. officers responded to a suspicious sedan in the parking lot of a business in the 2100 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Immediately after officers parked behind the vehicle, the driver allegedly drove away, ran a stop sign and drove eastbound on Diamond Lake at a high rate of speed.

Officers pursued the vehicle until he eventually stopped in the truck yard in the 3900 block of the road. The driver reportedly ran from the vehicle but was caught after a brief foot chase and a capture by Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K9 Ozzy.

The driver was identified as 44-year-old Jason Spradley. He was charged with attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot, and for several warrants. Spradley also had a suspended driver license. He was detained on $25,000 bail.
