ROSEBURG WOMAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED THEFT INCIDENT

A Roseburg woman was jailed by Roseburg Police for an alleged theft incident on Monday night.

An RPD report said at 7:20 p.m. officers were dispatched to a business in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street after an employee called and said there was a suspicious woman in the store. When officers arrived, the woman reportedly walked out of the store with a shopping cart full of items. Employees followed her out and told officers the suspect had just stolen items worth over $923.

She was charged with second-degree theft. The woman was detained without bail.
