Roseburg Police jailed a woman after an alleged theft incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers responded after a caller said there had been a theft at the Roseburg Rescue Mission Thrift Store in the 700 block of Southeast Stephens Street. A 45-year old was detained after officers found her walking away from the store with merchandise.

The woman had reportedly stolen $125 worth of items. Her probation officer wanted her detained for the new crime. She was charged with second-degree theft and for a probation violation. Bail was set at $6,250.
