A High Surf Advisory remains in effect through 10:00 p.m. Thursday for the south- central Oregon coast and the Curry County coast.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said large breaking waves of 22 to 28 feet are expected.
The Advisory area includes the beaches of Coos, Curry and Douglas counties.
Forecasters said large breaking waves will create hazardous conditions along and within the surf zone. They could inundate beaches and low-lying shorelines. Beach erosion is possible and exposed infrastructure may be damaged.
King-tides are expected through Wednesday. This will increase the height of waves and increase the risk of beach erosion.
Beach goers should stay away from the surf zone and off of jetties. Area beaches may become hazardous due to dangerous surf conditions.
