Roseburg Police jailed a woman on 17 embezzlement charges on Monday.

An RPD report said 42-year old Lacey Ott had allegedly stolen over $200,000 from her employer, a business in the 1800 block of West Harvard Avenue, via the company payroll system. During the theft, she reportedly completed several checks to herself that were fraudulent.

Ott was charged with 11 counts of first-degree forgery, and three counts each of computer crime and aggravated theft in the first degree. Ott was detained without bail after being taken into custody shortly after 3:00 p.m. Monday.
