Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged menacing incident on Friday.

An RPD report said at 3:45 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of Northwest Grove Street. A caller said there was a disturbance where the suspect pinned the victim against a wall and threatened to break her jaw.

The report said the 56-year old suspect was allegedly intoxicated and drove away but was contacted later at a friend’s house. The friend told officers that the man had not consumed any alcohol since arriving. It was apparent that the man was intoxicated but refused to cooperate with the investigation.

The suspect was charged with menacing and for DUII-alcohol. A search warrant was served for his blood. He was detained on $16,250 bail.
