A Roseburg man was jailed for a probation violation and a weapon charge early Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 12:15 a.m. officers contacted the 35-year old during an unrelated littering complaint in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers knew the suspect was wanted by his probation officer. He reportedly consented to be searched. A violation amount of methamphetamine and a concealed butterfly knife were allegedly located.

The man was also charged with being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon. The man was detained without bail.
