An attempted murder suspect for a crime in Grants Pass, may be in Douglas County.

Lieutenant Jeff Hattersley of the Grants Pass Police Department told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that their investigation indicates that 36-year old Benjamin Foster of Wolf Creek may have headed north along the Interstate Five corridor, following an assault Tuesday night.

GPPD officers responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Shane Way just after 6:50 p.m. Officers found a female victim who had been bound and severely beaten into unconsciousness. She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Hattersley said Foster had fled the scene before officers arrived, but was positively identified as the suspect. Foster was last known to be driving a dark blue Nissan Sentra 4-door with Oregon license plate 407EDX.

Hattersley said Foster is known to be armed and should be considered extremely dangerous. He is wanted by police for attempted murder, kidnapping, and assault.

Anyone seeing Foster or knowing his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.

The suspect was arrested for a similar crime in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2019, according to multiple media reports.
