TRANSIENT JAILED FOR ALLEGED RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATIONS

A female transient has been jailed for an alleged restraining order violation incident on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 7:00 p.m. 51-year old Shelly Bodfield allegedly came to property in the 300 block of Moonhill Road in the Tenmile area and asked the victim for food.

The victim allowed Bodfield to stay on the property until she allegedly starting acting erratic. The victim then asked the suspect to leave and was allegedly attacked, with Bodfield pulling her hair, and striking her in both the shoulder and in the face. The report said when the victim told Bodfield she was going to call the police the suspect knocked her phone out of her hand.

The report said Bodfield fled and hid in a travel trailer on the property. Dispatch advised a deputy that there was an active restraining order prohibiting Bodfield from being on the property.

The deputy arrived on the property and after several minutes of knocking and verbal commands, Bodfield exited the trailer and was taken into custody. She was charged with a restraining order violation, interference with making a report and for harassment. Bodfield was held without bail.
