Gusty winds up to 25 miles per hour, hot temperatures in the high 80s to 90 degrees, and critically low humidity are taking place on the Windigo, Potter, Big Swamp, and Camel Hump fires.
An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 9 said a cold front is coming in Friday evening from the west-northwest, bringing a slight chance of rain through Saturday morning, with clearing skies by 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
Crews on the Windigo Fire continue to make good progress on fire suppression repairs along roads and dozer lines. Crews on the Potter Fire are holding and improving lines while chipping fuels. Grading continues on area roads. On the Big Swamp Fire, sprinkling systems installed along the 2153 road have cooled down areas of concern in the interior of the fire. Patrol continues on the Camel Hump Fire.
456 people are assigned to the fires.
