Near critical fire weather is expected on the Windigo, Potter and Big Swamp fires.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 9 said temperatures are high with variable winds. Friday evening southwest winds may bring light precipitation in higher elevations. Weekend winds may bring in smoke from fires north and west of the area.

Mop up and suppression repair continues on the Big Swamp Fire. Isolated heat pockets continue to burn within established containment lines on the Potter Fire. Crews continue to patrol and put out hot spots that are close to control lines on the Windigo Fire.

509 people are assigned to the fires.
