VA Roseburg Health Care System Medical Center Director Keith Allen has left for a position with the National Cemetery Association, and an interim director is in place, effective Monday.

VA Public Affairs Specialist Sandra Kidd told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that Allen is becoming Executive Director of the Riverside National Cemetery, in California. Allen had led the Roseburg VA since 2019. Allen’s VA career included stops in Florida and two locations in Washington.

Kidd said as VISN 20 proceeds with formal recruitment for Allen’s successor, Roseburg’s Associate Director, Thandiwe Nelson-Brooks will serve as interim director. Her VA career began in 2010. She has over twenty years of experience in clinical and health care leadership, according to a VA bio.
