A Sutherlin man was jailed following an alleged reckless endangering incident on Wednesday.

A Sutherlin Police report said there had been numerous reports regarding David Torres and his vehicle all over the county. In this incident, Torres allegedly blocked the victim’s vehicle in the 1900 block of West Duke Avenue, preventing her from driving forward. The victim turned around and went the opposite direction and was allegedly aggressively followed by Torres in his vehicle.

The report said the victim pulled into a driveway where construction workers were present to assist her. Torres allegedly began reaching into the victim’s vehicle, hitting the windows and yelling angrily. Three minor children were scared and crying. An officer arrived and quickly detained Torres.

The 61-year old suspect was held on fourteen charges, including seven counts of reckless endangering, three counts each of reckless driving and second-degree disorderly conduct and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Torres was detained without bail.
