A warming and drying trend continues on the Windigo, Potter and Big Swamp fires.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 10 said temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s, with humidity ranging between 28 and 33 percent.

Crews on the Potter Fire mopped up along the 2167 Road and have continued to patrol around the fire perimeter, looking for any remaining hot spots near control lines. Firefighters are monitoring for spot fires as the fire moved downhill toward control lines on the 269 road. The fire is 622 acres and is now 84 percent contained.

The sprinkler system continues to aid firefighters on the Big Swamp Fire, as crews check for any forward advance of the fire along the 2153 Road. Firefighters are looking for and extinguishing any remaining pockets of heat near the fire line with repairs ongoing to roads and control lines. The fire remains 110 acres and is 69 percent contained.

The Camel Hump Fire is 6 acres with no containment. Firefighters have observed creeping and smoldering fire behavior, with some heavy fuels still burning on the interior of the fire. Crews have worked to secure the edge of the fire and are scouting for opportunities to run a hose lay around the fire to deliver water to the fire line.

The Windigo Fire is 98 percent contained and remains at 1,007 acres. Work on the fire is rapidly winding down as firefighters complete repair work to areas disturbed by fire suppression activity.

698 people are working on the fires. That includes 17 hand crews, 10 engines, 3 dozers, 10 water tenders and 5 helicopters.
