A Roseburg man was cited after an alleged DUII wreck Tuesday night.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 7:30 p.m. 28-year old Gage Burgess was driving southbound at a high rate of speed on Melqua Road approaching Tranquil Lane when he went into the ditch on the right side of the road and rolled his SUV.

Four juveniles were also in the vehicle. One victim was transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center with injuries.

The report said Burgess was confused, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot glassy eyes. He failed standard field sobriety tests. Burgess was taken to Corrections where he blew a .12 level of intoxication. That is fifty percent above the legal level for a motorist.

Burgess was charged with DUII, second-degree assault, five counts of reckless endangering, and for a warrant. He was released to a family member.
